To agree with other reviews, the portions are great! The pork fried rice was a little greasy, but then again, it was super fresh, so probably just the oil it was looked in & hadn't sat around long enough to drain/dry out. It had enough onions in it to make Outback Steakhouse jealous. Again, fresh! Sweet & sour chicken and egg roll were very good. Quick turn around and plenty of sauce for the chicken. It is pretty usual Chinese takeout, good pricing, quick service, clean restaurant. I wouldn't drive further for a craving, Great Wall will satisfy!

My wife and I love this place! We come here often and think you should as well. It's a small mom & pop restaurant. They have great prices and give you large portions of food. They have great prices on lunch and dinner combo! The owner always remember my wife and I when we come in to order. She always know what we love and don't like. She always make sure that we're set before we leave. Stop in and give them a try! They are located in the same strip mall with Kroger in New Albany. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, GOOD FOOD, LARGE PORTIONS & GREAT PRICES!!!

It's funny, the girls remember who you are & what you order, even if it's been several months. The food is above average take-out, but it's cheap & always good.

ALWAYS ready in less than 10 minutes. Super huge portions and super hot! I've tried nearly everything on the menu and their food quality is better than any other Chinese place I've been to. Highly recommended.

I called to place an order - I started with two questions and the lady who answered the phone hung up on me. Must not have wanted my business that much ...

It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it's good, consistent, huge servings for great prices. The service is always friendly. Love this place!

Sometimes you need a quick and easy Chinese meal. I don't believe there is a person alive who can say that they haven't run into a situation where all they wanted to do was grab some boxes of Chinese food and curl up with a movie and a pair of chop sticks... This happened to me recently when I moved into my new place and spent all day unpacking boxes. By the end of the day, I just wanted some wontons and some noodles. I checked YELP and saw that this place was around the corner, so I called and placed the order. I was able to drive over and pick it up about 15 minutes later and everyone in there seemed to know the owner by name... so that was a good sign. I had my order in about a minute and everything was perfect. Great pad thai for fast food... It wasn't fine dining - but it definitely fulfills a need at a good price.

Lunch specials are pretty good deals however the I wouldn't go back for the quality of food.

My chicken was creepy bleach white and did not have a taste, along with my rice being artificially colored a bright yellow. Would not recommend. #mysterymeat

Great food, fast service, friendly staff. We eat here a couple of times a month. Very convenient in the New Albany area. I would highly recommend!

I really like this place, apparently enough that they read my order off to me before I say it whey I call. "Is this Todd? Crab Rangoon, large wonton soup and general Tsos extra spicy?" (My wife helps)

Prices are right, portions are huge. Their food is kinda flavorless, though. It isn't my first choice by far, but it will work in a pinch. I'd much rather go to Lucky Yee and pay a little more for a little less food, but food that is flavorful and worth eating.

Great for take-out in the New Albany area, the prices are more reasonable compared to some of the other Chinese take-out spots in the vicinity and the people who work there are very nice, we've never once had a problem with them. The wait is typically only 10-15 minutes which is great when you're starving. Everything tastes like it should in regards to Americanized Chinese take-out. Love their combo meals, a big pro is that they don't skimp you on meat in the slightest. They also have some of the best crab rangoons that I've tasted. Only reason the place doesn't get five stars is that it's not the best for sitting in to eat, the atmosphere definitely leaves something to be desired.

Nothing particularly special, but they do the 'basic Chinese take-out joint' very well. Extremely fast service, great tasing product every time, and very friendly owners. We live in New Albany and go here regularly.

I have eaten at several Chinese joints in the area and I would rather grab take out from Great Wall than eat in at any other place. In fact the only reason I didn't give this place five stars is because the atmosphere isn't great. Just a few tables in a sparsely decorated space in front of a counter. The food completely makes up for it! We always get the same items and the lady there knows exactly what to make when she sees me. The crab rangoons are the best I have had at any Chinese joint and the general chicken is awesome! The veggies are always fresh and crispy. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Below average run of the mill strip mall Chinese restaurant. Chicken and beef seems like the canned variety. The only good thing I had was the free won ton soup and the crab rangoon. I won't be back.

My family and I go to Great Wall all the time. It's your average cheap Chinese takeout place with the standard menu. The owner (I think she is) Lin (sp?) is there all the time and she's super friendly! She even recognizes our phone number when we call! Just like with every restaurant, we have occasionally gotten a less than amazing meal, but I would say that this place is consistently wonderful. I love their crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, chicken broccoli, weight watchers chicken, almond boneless chicken, and green beans. Oh, and they have a great lunch special!

I live near Easton but whenever I'm in the area of New Albany I stop by the Great Wall. It's really good, fast food Chinese. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. I typically get the sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice. I've had the pork egg roll a couple of times and did not really care for it. The Egg Drop soup is pretty good.

Great, convenient food and excellent customer service. We've tried some of the newer Chinese restaurants that have opened in the area, but we always go back to Great Wall. The prices are better, the food is good and the service is great.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
